I became a hairdresser when I was in my early twenties. I’ve absolutely loved working in the industry and I can’t see myself leaving the industry any time soon. This industry gives me the chance to be creative. When a client walks in and trusts me to work with their hair it’s an amazing feeling. It’s an even greater feeling when they say to me that I can go absolutely wild and do whatever I want with their hair. That brings me to my next point. I absolutely love having clients. It’s so great talking to them and talking about my day and their day. I get to meet a lot of people and learn a lot about their stories. When these clients eventually become repeat clients, it’s a great feeling as we form a bit of a friendship and bond. As I’ve been in this industry for probably half my life now, I’m looking for new ways to keep it exciting for myself. I want to create videos that I wish I had access to when I was first starting out as a hairdresser in my youth. These videos need to be fun, lighthearted, and informational. I’ve never really taught hairdressing before and it is something I’ve been thinking about for a little while.
